In the case of direct or indirect links to external websites ("hyperlinks") which lie outside the author’s sphere of responsibility, liability would only come into effect if the author is aware of the content and it would have been technically possible and reasonable for him to prevent use in the event of illegal content.

The author expressly declares in this respect that at the time of setting the links, no illegal content could be identified on the pages to which links were being created. The author has no influence whatsoever on the current and future design, content or authorship of the linked/connected pages. For this reason, he hereby expressly disassociates himself from the entire content of all linked/connected pages which are altered after the links have been created. This declaration applies to all links created and references within the author’s own website as well as to third-party entries in guest books, discussion forums and mailing lists set up by the author. Sole responsibility for illegal, incorrect or incomplete content, and in particular for damages which arise from use or non-use of such information provided, lies with the provider of the page to which a reference was made and not the person who simply makes reference to the respective publication using links.
